Pixel 3 resident evil 2 images5/16/2023 ![]() My own needs are generally covered by a 50 Mbps plan at home while the phone-tethered 4G/3G (the former is memetically known to be slower than the latter here in Belarus at timesâ–ˇ) is likewise more than enough for basic online functions, moderate-to-biggish downloads (stuff north of 15 Gb is more problematic since Switch's handheld sleep mode still likes to cut the connection most of the time) and even stomachable RP streams since Vita's resolution is more or less within the realm of capability. where is it, Nintendo? Every single time a company releases one of these "cloud" games on Switch that is the question that goes through my head as I pass them by, and these days companies are announcing multiple of them at a time. I guess it's good that people who otherwise may not have a way to play these games soon will be able to, if their internet connection is fast and stable at least, and if the extra lag doesn't kill it, but for every one of these games the question grows stronger: We need a more powerful console. I'll pass, but then I have access to the game on Xbox One X and Xbox Series S so I'm not worried about it. For a second there I was shocked, although I knew I shouldn't be because I knew there was no way in hell the system could run the game, and that if it really is coming to Switch it's going to be some stupid "cloud" version. When I saw the RE: Village artwork during a Nintendo Direct, admittedly, I had to double check to see if I was actually seeing what I thought I was seeing. When you can't serve the whole world, your service failed. Unless there's cities on every corners of the Earth I don't see how cloud gaming is going to work or be the future of something, many cities in Russia are stuck in the cold 60 below zero all year long even in the summer with online and wireless connection having difficulty everyday so how you gonna had cloud gaming over there and cities like Venice are in waters? Companies came up with technologies but does not realize not every part of the world is the same. Not many countries embrace cloud gaming and cloud based service like Netflix, Stadia, and GForceNow aren't available everywhere, heck Stadia isn't even worldwide. Many countries around the world are still stuck offline so your claim that the future is going to be like this isn't legit. ![]() The issue with the future is that companies don't perfect these technology, they kept jumping it up more and more hoping it'll be good when it's not. Tue 13th Sep Technology advances but only in some areas, not all.
